BMW: BERLIN MEMORIES WEEKLY 33

Pictures speak a thousand words. So I will let my photos speak for me until I have time to write on my blog. Enjoy the pics, write up coming soon!

BRUSSELS CHOCOLATE LASTED ONE DAY

In the final moments of my Brussels trip I made a box of chocolate at my favorite chocolate shop, Chocolaterie Mary. I expected the box of candy to last the next week, maybe two weeks if I was lucky. However, the box was gone before 3pm on Monday. I guess that means I’ll have to go back to Brussels.

DAILY RUNS

My goal for May is to run every day in the morning. This week I ran through some beautiful sections of the city and the flowers made it obvious that it’s finally Spring! Hopefully I will keep up this running plan throughout all of May, but even if I don’t, this week was lovely.

veggie polenta and blind cat snuggles

This week I went over to Alice’s apartment and traded our normal coffee walk for a vegan polenta with cat cuddles. It was perfect getting to work from home at Alice’s apartment and catch up in between meetings and during lunch.

DINNER AND A SHOW

I went to my first live concert in a while and got to see Brian Fallon in the Huxley’s Neue Welt venue. I have never really listened to Brian Fallon before, but I spent the first half of the week listening to his music on repeat so that I could sing along during the show. One of my favorite songs is Watson, lyrics copied below.

If you’re thinking you might wanna stay with me
‘Cause I don’t wanna go on my own
Lord I worry when I get old I’ll be lonesome
Chasing all the umbrellas in London
Every footstep in Angel Station
For even the scent of her perfume again
Watching detectives chase the one that got away
The one that got away
The one that got away

Come on Watson, come on Watson
I don’t want to go on my own

NIGHT TRAIN TO FRANKFURT

I don’t know why I always convince myself that I am an evening person. After scarfing down my salad from Dean&David I slowly lulled myself to sleep with Taylor Swift and other train tunes as we tunneled on to Frankfurt.

“You booked the night train for a reason
So you could sit there in this hurt
Bustling crowds or silent sleepers
You’re not sure which is worse”
