This was a beautiful relaxing week full of self-care and park days. I started off the week perfectly with a croissant catch up with Alice. After our long hot girl walk I spent the rest of my free time in the week working out or getting ready for my next trip. Then on the weekend I bopped around parks celebrating a birthday, snacking away the Sunday scaries and cheering on Germany in the Euro final.
CROISSANT Catch Up
I love my croissant catch up with Alice that has grown into a monthly tradition. It’s crazy to think about how much has changed since our first croissant catch up, almost a year ago. Luckily for me, I will never be tired of the best croissants in Berlin!

Self Care and Gym Time
This is one of my first weeks of downtime all summer and I spent the entire time focusing on myself. I went to the gym every day, got my nails done, got my hair cut and even got a massage. It was lovely spending all my money and energy on making myself feel healthy and put together. The calm in the middle of my summer travel storm.

BIRTHDAY PARK PARTY
This weekend I spent a majority of my time outside and in a park. On Saturday my park activity was Tina’s birthday party in Volkspark Friedrichshain. I love how Berliners actually use parks and public spaces for events. Drinking Aperol Spritz on a hot Saturday day should always be done from a park picnic blanket with a dog in arms reach.

SUNDAY BBQ
Summer Sunday park BBQ at Mauerpark! Every Sunday I see tons of people grilling out in Mauerpark and this party was defiantly a Berlin bucket list item for me. Anika and Martin were amazing organizers and they planned out a super fun park day that lasted until it was too dark to see. The food game was also on point. We had cheese, fruits, crackers, salads, pastas, sausages, vegan sausages, bread, hummus and everything in between. I loved all the food and all of the people who showed up for the park day, especially the person who brough an iPad so we could all watch the women’s Euro final. Unfortunately for everyone except the two British people at the party, UK beat Germany in overtime. Luckily for us there was enough Prosecco and candy to make this less painful
