Ensuring your adventures are always ahead of the curve

LIFE IN PICTURES: DECEMBER

Welcome back to my second monthly installment of “My Life in Pictures”! I’m excited to share with you all what I’ve been up to over the past month. This sectoin of my blog is essentially a public diary where I’ll be posting pictures and updates about my life. Whether it’s a fun adventure or a simple moment of reflection, I hope to capture and share these moments with you. So sit back, relax, and enjoy this peek into my life.

I started off November on the coastline in Ericeira, Portugal, watching my friend and strangers surf the large winter swells. The sound of the crashing waves and the salty sea breeze filled the air as I stood there in awe of the incredible surfers. The water was a beautiful shade of blue-green and the sun was shining bright in the sky. As I watched the surfers, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of envy for their skills and bravery. I had never tried surfing before, but seeing the joy and excitement on their faces made me want to give it a try. Maybe next time I visit the coast, I’ll bring a board and give it a shot. For now, I was content just watching and enjoying the beauty of the ocean.

The rest of my time in Berlin in December was filled with fun activities and quality time with friends. One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to visit the Christmas markets, and I was lucky enough to have friends who were just as excited about it as I was. We spent several afternoons strolling through the markets, sipping on hot mulled wine and snacking on delicious treats.

Another highlight of my time in Berlin was throwing a raclette party. We gathered around the table, melted cheese and grilled meats, and enjoyed a cozy evening of good food and great company. I also spent a lot of time in the kitchen, baking Christmas cookies and bagels to share with my friends. There’s something special about the holiday season that brings out the baking enthusiast in me.

After spending most of December enjoying the cute winter scenes in Berlin, it was time to head back to the US for some much-awaited holiday time with friends and family. As much as I love traveling, there’s nothing quite like being home for the holidays. I was excited to see my loved ones and spend quality time with them.

After Christmas, I headed back up to NYC and reunited with my friends to ring in the New Year. The city was buzzing with excitement and anticipation for the upcoming festivities, and I couldn’t wait to be a part of it all. We spent the days leading up to New Year’s Eve exploring the city and catching up on each other’s lives.

But of course, the main event was New Year’s Eve. My friends in NYC threw a giant house party and we all gathered in the East Village to dress up in black tie, pop champagne and head out to dive bars.

At the stroke of midnight, the ball dropped, and the entire crowd erupted into cheers and applause. It was an unforgettable moment, and I felt lucky to have shared it with my closest friends. The rest of the night was a blur of dancing, champagne toasts, and laughter. It was a fantastic way to start the new year, surrounded by the people I love most.

But more about that in my January post!
