In 2020 I challenged myself to read 60 books in 365 days. I accomplished that goal and found some of my new favorite books along the way. I considered listing out the books from most to least favorite, but I realized after about 5 minutes that it was going to be impossible to rank everything against each other. This was a whirlwind year and during the constant craziness I found myself rooted in these books. I was captivated by the short stories of Marina Keegan, entranced by Kiese Laymon’s memoir, and addicted to Luis Fernando Verissimo’s The Club of Angels.
60 books was a bold goal, but I’m glad I set it. I’m going to keep my goal of 60 books for 2021 and hopefully I will find even more literary treasures along the way.
